The activity of ministry is never-ending, so it's good to find Solitude In The Midst of Service I'm guessing, if our conversations with you all are any indication, your pandemic down times have served to be even busier than when you were working full time outside the house! A recent devotional mentioned how easy it is to make busyness a virtue, despite the Word's admonition that God gives sleep to His people. We never reach the end of our work, but the Lord gives sweet sleep to those who are faithful in their service to God and others. That's something I (David) have to remind myself regularly, as I'm something of a night owl! Anyway, in addition to our normal church fellowship and Youth for Christ activities – leading youth group, helping in worship and recording Facebook Live Sunday messages, attending weekly YFC RO video prayer times, David continuing his CrossTalk School work and monthly preaching, and driving the youth around as needed – we both seem to have been taking more responsibilities on ourselves. And we need to prayerfully commit to not over-working even when it seems so natural to do just that – look at all this great stuff on our plates! November has been a whirlwind of a month for all of us! All the busy work that marks our days can become an addiction, a drug of choice that keeps us busy and keeps us from solitude with the Lord. I invite you to be quiet before Him in praise for what He continues to do in, through, and around us in Slatina. Here are the bullet points:
Prayer, Praise, People Here's a snapshot of the ministry right now:
SPOTLIGHT: Beniamin Cruceru
My name is Beni Cruceru, I am 31, I am married to Alina, and we have two boys (Ellis and Emmet). We are blessed to serve the Lord in the area and church we both grew up. After I finished my theological degree, I came back home to serve as a pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Slatina. I was blessed to serve along my father, who has been an example of integrity and faith through the years. His father, my grandfather (who was also a pastor), was another important faith figure in my life and I believe I live in their shadow. Pastoring proved to be challenging in an area reluctant to accept the gospel and, although the fruit is not numerous, we are blessed to see people loving God and people faithfully. Thanks so much for telling us about yourself, and your ministry – and we also look forward to years of service with you as well. So, are you ready to answer our Unity Questions?
